We’re on this road together.

Since 1956, we’ve been going above and beyond for our customers, our partners, our associates and the communities we serve.

We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our Commitment to our Customers

At Fountain Tire, we’re committed to the success of our associates, our store owners, as well as our customers. From families to fleet owners and everyone in between, we make your problems our problems – and we’ve stuck to that motto since Bill Fountain opened our first store.

Since day one, we’ve been committed to providing excellent customer service that always goes above and beyond. We use the Net Promoter System (NPS) to consistently track customer satisfaction and ensure a high level of service at all our stores.

Our Commitment to our Associates

We believe that culture is the place where value meets behaviour. Our five key characteristics define how we behave as an organization, making sure we stay at our best.

1. Commit to growth
2. Act win-win
3. Make it simple
4. Innovate
5. Have fun

At Fountain Tire we lead with our hearts, our heads, and our hands. This builds a strong company culture to empower our people and communities to thrive. We use the Employee Net Promoter System to gather valuable feedback from our associates, helping us create a supportive work environment and maintain high performance across all our stores. This approach has helped secure our spot as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies every year since 1994.

Our Commitment to Safety

At Fountain Tire, safety is highly important to us. We believe in it so much that we’ve made it part of our company culture by introducing a Safety Excellence program.

Safe working practices are the responsibly of all associates. This program has led to great benefits.

  • Reduced safety related incidents.
  • Early return to work program.
  • Certificate of Recognition (COR) awards in many of our locations.
  • Reduced insurance costs.

Our Safety Excellence program ensures all locations comply with safety legislation, including:

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Provincial Safety Codes.
  • Provincial Workers’ Compensation Boards.

We work closely with our partners to continue to reach higher levels of safety awareness and results. We measure our progress using Total Recordable Incident Frequency (TRIF) and Total Recordable Incident Severity (TRIS). Safety isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we commit to, each and every day.

Our Commitment to our Community

We are actively engaged in over 160 Canadian communities. Since our first store opened in 1956, we have always supported charitable causes with financial donations and countless volunteer hours.

These causes include:

  • Local food banks
  • Animal support groups
  • Community events
  • Local sports sponsorships
  • United Way
  • Sport Central
  • Junior Achievement

Community involvement is about addressing the core needs and aspirations of the individuals and families in the neighbourhoods we serve. These include aiding physical needs, fulfilling social needs and supporting growth needs.

Our Commitment to our Partners

At Fountain Tire, strategic partnerships are a core element of our DNA. Our partnerships strengthen our business and empower us to give back to the communities we serve.

Business Partnership

Our unique 50/50 model gives each local manager the opportunity to own 50% of their store. This enables them to operate their business in the best manner possible for their communities, customers, and associates – all while ensuring their profits stay local.

Each store is also supported by an enterprise program, providing invaluable resources and ensuring managers are never on their own. Currently, 90% of Fountain Tire stores have a local 50/50 partner and our goal is to increase this to 100%.
